Drawing about Ocean Life
Goals and Objectives:
Assessment: Assess the completed drawing/recordings to determine if students were able to show images that related to the ocean topic being discussed. Assess recordings to determine if students were able to offer suggestions to each other and how the suggestions affected the final drawings. Observe and encourage students as they draw their ocean creations. Since the iPad records the drawing and sound, you will have a recording of the interactions with the children and be able to see if they added more details based on the suggestions. |
Tips for Teachers
The Mini Doodlecast app begins recording as soon as you select a prompt or background and continues until you click that you are done (it does come with a preset time limit of 10 minutes). Then you can play the recording and see and hear just how you drew the picture. At this blog link a software developer who is also a dad shares his impression of the app: http://www.geekswithjuniors.com/blog/2013/7/25/sago-mini-doodlecast-is-a-fun-drawing-app-for-kids.html.
