Plurals - Animal Words and Numbers
Goals and Objectives:
Assessment: Observe and note student understanding during the class counting and naming of the animals, as well as during the chart recording. Observe students as they complete their pictures. Assist students as needed. Encourage students to recount any incorrect numbers and reminding them to check the ends of their words (e.g. What do you need to put at the end of the word to mean more than one?). Assess the completed student pictures for correctly written numbers, counting correspondence, and plurals. |
Tips for Teachers
While students are generally eager to use a finger to write on the iPad, teachers may be more comfortable using a stylus to do so. You can purchase one at many electronics or computer stores, but also look for ones that are on the ends of pens. Many companies are including them on the ends of promotional give-away pens. If you would like to collect a few for use in your classroom, let the parents in your class know and have them keep an eye out for such free products.
